Hace un tiempo llegó a mis manos esta canción , con el titulo Joe Satriani & Metallica- Instrumental. Se trata de un mezcla de canciones de Joe Satriani, empezando con Crystal Planet, canción del album del mismo título. No se si realmente Metallica también toca o solo está el guitarrista estadounidense, pero el resultado es increible, ¡Esto si que es tocar la guitarra! Para quien no lo conozca (aunque no creo que haya ningun aficionado a las 6 cuerdas que no sepa quien es), Joe Satriani es un guitarrista instrumental norteamericano de notable virtuosidad, fundador del G3, gira que hace por todo el mundo junto con Steve Vai y los mejores guitarristas del momento (Eric Johnson, Yngwie Malmsteen...).
Empiezo esta serie de posts, en el que voy a ir poniendo las 100 canciones (y pico)con los mejores solos de guitarra.Aquí no solo estarán las canciones en las que la guitarra sea la parte principal, si no, aquellas canciones en las que aunque la guitarra juegue un papel pequeño pero fundamental. Un buen solo no se caracteriza solo por la velocidad a la que se toque, sino por lo que es capaz de transmitir, un buen solo es ese que cuando lo oyes te parece oir hablar a la guitarra. En esta recopilación espero que estén todos lo que son y sean todos los que están.
Sin más contemplaciones empiezo esta recopilación con el grupo inglés fundado por Jimmy Page: Led Zeppelin, que creo que no necesita ninguna presentación. Un clásico, Stairway to Heaven, en la que Page simplemente se sale:
